What We Do

Main Street Hospice is family owned, located in Franklin but serves 9 counties - Johnson, Shelby, Hendricks, Morgan, Marion, Monroe, Bartholomew, Brown, Hancock. We go into patient homes and/or facilities to provide the care they need. At Main Street, we have an awesome volunteer team who a vital role in end of life care. From sitting with patients to assisting behind the scenes, volunteers give their time and energy to help those navigating the final chapters of their journey. Through this difficult journey, volunteers can make an extraordinary impact on the lives of hospice staff, patients, and the patients’ families. If you are finding your volunteer work challenging in some way, the Volunteer Coordinator is here to help. We are always happy to listen and, if you would like to make a change, we will work with you to figure out what your next best step is. Volunteers can provide patient companionship, caregiver respite, light housekeeping, meal prep, pet therapy, music therapy, etc. Let us know your interests!
