Volunteer: BP Volunteering during shop hours

The Bloomington Community Bike Project is a local cooperative that helps people recycle bikes into the community. We aim to empower people to live sustainable lives by emphasizing community and bicycle maintenance and repair education.

The Bike Project provides a free space, tools, and free used parts to community members with bicycles in need of repair. We have bicycle maintenance books for your perusal and a volunteer Shop Monitor who can help you diagnose and fix your own bike.

Volunteers at the shop will help us clean/organize the shop; assist in identifying bike repairs needed for Bike Project bicycles; repair any Bike Project bicycles needing repairs; and assist with any other activities we collectively find during your volunteer time.

Just come on down during open hours, introduce yourself, sign in, and get started.

We don't have the ability to answer calls or emails - in person is best.
There is always a volunteer shop monitor on duty when the shop is open who can answer questions for you.

We are an ALL VOLUNTEER organization. Come volunteer with us.
