At All-Options, we know that every individual?s and family?s reality is different, and we trust and support people through every pregnancy and parenting turning point. Whether you need support for unplanned pregnancy, miscarriage, infertility, abortion, adoption, or parenting, All-Options is here for you. All-Options Pregnancy Resource Center is a program of Backline, a national nonprofit organization that has been creating space for people to find unconditional and judgment-free support since 2004.
At All-Options we provide Hoosiers with open-hearted support across all of their pregnancy and parenting turning points by providing - free pregnancy tests and peer counseling, abortion funding, materials support like diapers and baby clothes and referrals to all kinds of community services. We believe caring communities start with supporting people to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. You can help! There are many ways you can get involved and support your fellow Hoosiers when they need it most.
All-Options is looking for compassionate, committed volunteers to join our organization. We have three volunteer tracks at All-Options: Peer Counseling, Center Support, and Events/Outreach.
-Office Support volunteers will greet clients at our front desk and provide material donation support (i.e. sort and prepare baby clothes, diapers, care kits, etc.). Office Support volunteers go through a 1 day training which will take place October 15th 2016.
-Events/Outreach volunteers are radical All-Options ambassadors in the community. They represent All-Options at community events, and facilitate training for local community organizations and agencies. The next training takes place October 15th 2016.
-Peer Counselor Advocates must complete a 40+ hour training taking place over a month (4 Wednesdays and 4 Saturdays). They provide in-person peer counseling support at All-Options Center and answer calls on Backline's national Talkline. This unique volunteer opportunity offers training and experience in client-centered counseling, pregnancy options and reproductive justice issues, as well as ongoing support from the All-Options community. The next peer counseling training will begin early 2017.
Bilingual individuals, women of color, and people who have personally experienced abortion, adoption, parenting, or pregnancy are especially encouraged to apply.
